Elliptical Machine

We got these new version of elliptical machine and they a great...i love it. They totally get you a better workout than the older models and I get excited when I'm on them and I'm seeing that I'm burning more calories than just running. I hate running, so whatever that gives me a better workout and totally pumps up my heart.

NYC Trip to West Village

I grew up in NYC, but never really experience nyc like west village. I love it...There's so much energy and life within couple of blocks. My girlfriend and I finished a bottle of wine in this cute little French restaurant with cheese platter. Yummy...
Didn't do any of workout, but who cares...I was in NYC!

Camping Weekend

This past weekend, we went camping and whitewater rafting. I realized the whole weekend was about eating and rafting. 28 of my friends meet out in Lake George area and camped out the weekend. It was fun and little irritating because of one particular person. Other than that, we had a great time...
My exercise program has halted, but I am determined to get back on track today and start working out.

Dating and Diet

I went on a date yesterday and of course we decided to go to a bar a grab couple of beer.
The date was ok, no sparks but good conversation.
After two pints of beer, the conversation got better and my diet never existed.
After the date was over, I called my girlfriend to join me another round of drinks, and there goes my diet. To makeup for my poor diet attempts, need to do extra 20 minutes of cardio today.

Mile and Half Run

I did my first mile and half run without stopping yesterday, and than I walked back another mile and half. I ribs started to hurt, but I felt great after the run. My two dachshund joined me for the run, and they had no problems keeping up with me. I need to hit the gym to do some weights but I hating going to the gym when the weather is so nice and I could just go for long walk/run on the pond. It's harder to get back onto the routine after vacation.

My diet has been awful since back from vacation. I'm craving sorbets at night, and way too much carbs. I'm not cooking as much as I should.

I'm looking forward to my whitewater rafting trip this weekend. It should be lots of fun and of course my diet will totally be sabotaged by all the bbq and quick on the go foods.

Uhmm....

Vegas for a week

I'm in Vegas for a week for friend's birthday party and a family vacation. It's so crazy out here...but I love it. We danced all night long yesterday and I woke up pretty early compared to my friends because they are still alsleep at 3 in the afternoon. I did some shopping in my hotel, there a mall down here...it's so cool. I love it!
My parents are heading out here tonight and we will be heading over to Zion Mountains on Monday morning to go hiking over at Bryce Canynon and head over to North Rim of Grand Canynon. My brother and I will still be training for our 10K run, so we'll go for run at night at our resort.
I think they might have a trail. The temperature drops to a comfortable level late at night....
This city is definitly a 'city that never sleep'. There's constant stimulation everywhere here.
Don't know if that's good or bad. There's definitly too many temptation from man, gambling. It's a sin city!

Golf Weekend

I had a great weekend. I finally got to play golf both on Saturday and Sunday. I just got into the game and loving it! I love being in the outdoors and enjoying the sun when the breeze comes through and cools you down. Didn't get to do much cardio, but I guess walking for 3 hours carrying my golf gears could count as exercise, right?
I need to work on my forms and my swings.
I'm back on training for my run. I decided to do my first 5K Breast Cancer Run on Sept 10th. It won't be bad... I have no problem running 2 miles, now I just have to increasing that to 3.1 miles and work on my time. I would love to finish this race before 30 minutes. It is so hot in Boston! I think with humidity it's almost suffocating to be outside. I'll hit the gym later today.
